The free SDK (Software Development Kit) can be requested from Line 6 via MMdeveloper@line6.com.

MIDI Mobilizer is a low-profile hardware device that fits into the standard 30-pin connector of an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. It can connect these Apple products to millions of pieces of classic and modern MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) gear, such as synthesizers, digital pianos, effects processors, and virtually any device with standard MIDI 5-pin DIN connectors, including Line 6 guitar amps and POD® products. Thanks to the free MIDI Mobilizer SDK, future applications can be developed that will allow virtually any MIDI function commonly performed by a computer to be held in the palm of your hand.

In fact, some elements have been independently developed by dozens of geniuses at multiple research centers, each taking a slightly different approach, but all embracing more than one of the major five elements of tomorrow’s UI. Here are those elements: 1. Multi-touch, 2. Gestures, 3. Physics, 4. 3-D, and 5. Minimization of icons.

Since Steve Jobs’ announcement of the iPhone at Macworld two weeks ago, Internet users have been flocking online to find out more information. For the week ending 1/13/07, the share of searches for ‘iphone’ was greater than the weekly share of searches for ‘ipod’ at any time during 2006. The week ending 1/20/07 still showed a greater volume of searches for ‘iphone’ versus ‘ipod.’
